Touchscreen Interface. The Pro-HC controller has a full graphical touchscreen interface, which makes programming with or without Wi-Fi connectivity and manual starting from the controller a breeze.
Predictive Watering™ Adjustments. Daily schedule adjustments, based on local weather data, monitor past, current and forecasted temperature, rainfall, humidity, and wind speed. This allows for adjustments of watering times and schedules to balance water savings with water efficiency for plants.
Flow Meter Detection and Alerts. Monitor your piping and sprinklers with an optional flow meter. Receive automatic alerts when a pipe is broken to prevent property damage.
Hydrawise EPA Watersense Approved Smart Watering. All Hydrawise compatible controllers connected to Hydrawise web-based software are EPA WaterSense approved Smart Watering Controller. When the pressure’s on, save water and money with Rain Bird PRS rotors and sprays. High water pressure is a common problem in communities across the nation. But this big problem has a simple solution. By regulating high or fluctuating pressure at the head, Pressure Regulating Stems (PRS) with Flow Optimizer™ technology could save up to one gallon per minute per rotor or spray. Given the high price of water in many areas, your customers can also enjoy considerable cost savings—annually and over the life of the system.

Rain Bird PRS rotors and sprays ensure compliance with water restrictions and minimize wear and tear to the irrigation system.

Rain Bird was the first irrigation manufacturer to patent PRS for sprays. Unlike competitive PRS sprays, Rain Bird PRS sprays adjust to fluctuating pressure, optimizing flow and promoting a more consistent spray pattern. Select versions of the 1800 maintain operating pressures of 45 psi to maximize Rotary Nozzle efficiency.

Yes! Most existing systems can be easily retrofitted with a smart controller like the Hunter Pro-HC. You don’t need to replace your entire system to start saving water and gaining smartphone control.

Do I need a strong Wi-Fi signal in my garage for this to work?

A stable Wi-Fi connection is required for the controller to receive weather updates and provide app control. If your signal is weak near your irrigation clock, we can recommend Wi-Fi extenders to ensure consistent connectivity.

Are smart controllers EPA WaterSense approved?

Yes. All of our smart controllers are EPA WaterSense certified, which means they are independently verified to save water and perform at a high level. In some Northern Virginia jurisdictions, this certification may even qualify you for local water rebates.

Will a smart system really save me money on my DMV water bill?
